Liberal Democrat Councillors taking action over threatened Lutteral Hall closure
Lutterell Hall West Bridgford threatened with closure
Out of the blue (in more ways than one) and not publicised before the recent election, Rushcliffe Borough Council Cabinet are considering a report relevant to the future of the Lutterell Community Hall.
Community groups who make use of the Hall have highlighted their dismay at the proposals and concerns at how late they have been notified of teh Council's intention.
The Cabinet meeting is on Tuesday 11th June at 7.00pm at Rushcliffe Arena. Cabinet meetings are open to the public. The meeting aganda can be found on the Rushcliffe Borough Council website. NB. Unlike other towns in the Borough, West Bridgford has no Town Council (despite past proposals submitted by your Lib Dem councillors) Rushcliffe Council make all the decisions.
Also relevant is the apparent decision of the Notts Police to stop using the West Bridgford Police Station. This looks to pose problems for the much hailed shared Rushcliffe Contact Centre.
Your Liberal Democrat Councillors have registered concerns and wish for speedy scrutiny about the Conservative Cabinet's plans. Councillor Rod Jones has submitted a question for Cabinet about their plans for these public services in the heart of West Bridgford.
