Guests at Totnes Constituency Liberal Democrats Annual Dinner last Saturday were treated to a superb meal of locally produced and sourced food and drink. Over 70 people came to Stoke Fleming Village Hall where they were fed with local vegetables, home made bread, fish fresh from Brixham, cheese from Totnes and Loddiswell, wine produced near Totnes and chocolates from Salcombe. Having enjoyed a veritable feast they were entertained by David Walter, former ITN and BBC political correspondent and now Director of Communications for the Liberal Democrats, who talked about his experiences in reporting politics over two decades. David has recently been selected as Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Torridge and West Devon to succeed John Burnett M.P. who is standing down at the next election.
