'Mulgrew calls for safety improvements to Broad Lane'

Balderstone and Kirkholt Councillor - Dale Mulgrew has called for new and better safety measures to be installed on Broad Lane either side of the motorway bridge. Councillor Mulgrew said, "I have been inundated with requests by residents about the dangers of this stretch of road. It is about time that the Council agreed to take some action. I have been talking to residents since the start of the year and now I have been elected it's time for some positive action. I will be working with local residents and doing a survey to find out exactly what they believe could lead to eradicating the accidents which seem to be all too frequent on this road. One thing I have learnt is that it is absolutely vital to consult with local people. It is only by talking to local people that you can act responsibly and recommend to the communities solutions to problems."
