Cllr Anton Georgiou, the leader of the Liberal Democrats group on Brent Council, made the following representation at a recent meeting of the planning committee to highlight the failures of Brent Council to listen to concerns by local residents.
In 2023 in Wirral, 1067 EHCP requests were made to the council. Just 32.5% of these were produced within the statutory obligated 20 week timeline. Across England, requests for EHCPs have increased by 20.8% since 2022. The demand has put enormous pressure.
